is anyone else as flipping excited as i am for the met gala tomorrow night?! with beyonce as honorary chair, riccardo tisci & rooney mara as co-chairs and a PUNK theme, how can you not cry at how great it will be! (i always keep an eye out for the beautiful fanning sisters, of course!)

as you already have most likely figured out i am a lover of the earth and its beauty. growing up all over the country has taught me to find as much beauty in abandoned roads through the mountains as in big cities with buildings taller than the sun. but now that i do live in a big city (nyc) i constantly find myself trying to get back to middle american type landscapes. you know, the kind with random lakes you find on the side of the road and decide to jump in fully clothed (and with shoes on). yeah, those kinds of landscapes!

anyway, here is some beautiful inspiration for you and i both taken by jocelyn catterson. these pics are captured in various national parks during jocelyn's adventures across america.

i just cannot get enough of this ashish s/s 13 collection, that was presented at london fashion week. the scrunchies, the sweatpants, the shoes, the socks, the messy buns, the sequins, the glasses, i mean what is there not to adore. i will obviously be channeling some of this perfectly geeky vibe this summer!
